Little Rangers - Education
As an integral part of the educational pillar of the AQUATERRA Ecological Society, we transform passion for nature into concrete actions. Our program addresses pupils, students, and young people who aspire to become custodians of biodiversity and protectors of glacial relics.
Forestry and ecological education are best learned directly in the field through hands-on experience. Our young rangers have stood out through large-scale actions that serve as eloquent examples of contributing to forest preservation, biodiversity conservation, and the sustainable development of the region.
Benchmark Field Campaigns
Tree Planting Month at Plutonița (Doroteia, Suceava)
As part of the annual “Forest Month” event, our volunteers mobilized in full force for a major reforestation effort carried out near our local branch headquarters in Plutonița.
Under the direct guidance of the S.E. Aquaterra coordination team — represented by President Nicolai Crăciun, Director Alina-Elena Cuciureanu, Deputy Director Ramona Popescu, and Eng. Prof. Elena Cuciureanu — students from the Câmpulung Moldovenesc Forestry College and pupils from the Doroteia Grammar School, alongside Parish Priest Dănuț, demonstrated remarkable responsibility and genuine love for nature.
- Over 6,000 saplings planted: Norway spruce, silver fir, sycamore maple, black locust, and willow.
- Logistics and Safety: Thanks to logistical support provided by the National Forest Administration - Romsilva, students were supplied with all necessary tools and equipment. Before starting, forestry engineers conducted a rigorous safety briefing on occupational health and forest fire prevention.
- Care for Volunteers: All young participants received dedicated minibus transportation, high-quality meals, and water to keep their energy levels high throughout the event.

Pojorâta Forest District
Intense activities carried out in the Valea Putnei area for monitoring natural regeneration and supporting degraded mountain ecosystems. The young rangers analyzed sapling development and learned modern techniques of sustainable forest management.
